Nu-Vista PRE, PAS, PAM Now Available!
The new NU-VISTA by Musical Fidelity PRE, PAS, and, PAM was the dream of Antony Michaelson, the founder of Musical Fidelity and professional musician, an audio system that sounds like tube and class A amps. Warm and musical, but it also allows the real-life dynamic reproduction of music, especially of big orchestras.
Over 1 million Euros have been invested in design costs to launch Musical Fidelity into the heavens of the best.
In 1982, the hi-fi enthusiast clarinettist Mr. Antony Michaelson founded the high-end manufacturer MUSICAL FIDELITY, that is now owned by Mr. Heinz Lichtenegger of Pro-Ject Audio Systems.
The first time i saw the new Nu-Vista Series was at the presentation of Musical Fidelity’s and Triangle’s 40th anniversary Magellan speakers in Munich.
I was at the High End Munich Show 2022 and the event was located at the Beautiful Hotel Bayerischer Hof Munich.
Triangle’s 40th anniversary Magellan was powered by the Nu-Vista 800.2 Integrated Amplifier, a preliminary taste of the future of the Musical Fidelity magic of power and finesse.
Musical Fidelity claims that The PRE, PAS, and PAM will be the first step in the very best in today's amplification.
Nu-Vista PSU
Every Nu-Vista PRE or POWER AMP (PAS/PAM) comes with its own dedicated external power supply. To achieve better noise performance, by removing the AC mains power supply from the main unit and built it into another matching box. The Power supply has ON/ Standby LEDs and is controlled from the main unit front panel. If total mains isolation is required, the power supply also has rear mounted mechanical rocker switch for full power off.
Nu-Vista PRE
Fully balanced, discrete Class A Preamplifier.
The Nu-Vista PRE features the tried and tested Nu-Vista stage featuring 6S51N nuvistors in a discrete class A amplifier buffer.
The Nu-Vista PRE uses a balanced configuration circuit and balanced precision matched stepped attenuator for volume control. This means even at low volume levels, as well as higher, stereo imaging will be precise and accurate.
The massive aluminium case acts as a Faraday cage, is basically immune against the effects of vibration from the environment

Nuvistor tubes
Nuvistor tubes were invented in the 1950s to solve the many shortcomings of conventional tubes. Unlike them, Nuvistor tubes offer very high reliability, low microphony, low noise, consistency from batch to batch, small size, relatively low power consumption and great technical performance.
Unfortunately just as uses for Nuvistor tubes were being explored, the transistor was invented and it was ‘game over’ for Nuvistors. There the matter rested until about fifteen years ago, when Musical Fidelity created the first of its ground-breaking Nu-Vista series. These legendary, limited-edition products sold out in a matter of months. Today, fifteen years later, they command very high secondhand prices because of their beautiful sound, build quality, and longevity.
